About Us
The BBS and BGS Web Shop is the official uniform supplier
for the British Boy Scout and Girl Scout Association. Any profits made from the
sale of Scouting goods go back into the BBS and BGS to support Scouting.

Orders
Online orders to the BBS and BGS are regarded at law as
"an invitation to treat”, a contract is only formed once we have responded
to your invitation.
By using this online order system the customer certifies
that they are aged 18 or above.
The goods remain the property of the BBS and BGS association
until paid for in full.
All sales are governed by United Kingdom law, and the
language used in any communication will be British English.
BBS and BGS Member Discounts
We sell the official uniform of the BBS and BGS Association.
However, we are happy to sell our uniform to the general public as an
undiscounted rate.
BBS Scouters and other members (or parents and guardians of
those members) are entitled to order uniform at a discounted rate. To do so,
when registering a new account set the ‘Customer Group’ to ‘BBS/BGS Members’
and enter your scout group name in the ‘Scout Group Name’ field. Before we can
allow orders to be made, we will need to validate your account by contacting
your Group Scout Master to confirm your membership. It is recommended that
members create an account in advance of making an order.
Changes to Orders
In most circumstances, it is not possible to make changes to
an order once it has been placed. If you need to add products to your order,
then please place a new order and advise us by e-mail.
If you need to change your delivery address, remove items or
cancel it completely, then please contact the shop by e-mail as soon as
possible.
There are some products that may require individual order from
our suppliers, and we reserve the right to invoice you for those items if you
cancel the order after you have confirmed your acceptance of our price offer.
We will however make reasonable efforts to minimise any cost to you.
Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our
catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the
shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout"
and you will be asked to enter a few details that we need to be able to process
the order.
Shipping and Handling
Order placed before 24:00 Friday night will be
picked the following week subject to: the payment being confirmed, the shopkeeper
not being involved in other scouting activities, and that the item be in stock.
The shopkeeper will aim to post within two weeks of
the order being placed.
Parcels are shipped via MyHermes.
Postage charges include additional cover, signature on delivery, handing, and packaging.
The weight of each item includes a 100g nominal packaging weight for uniform items and a 5g nominal packaging weight for cloth badges.

International Delivery
Our shop does not currently provide international shipping; please contact us
if you require delivery outside of the UK.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, then we will put it on back
order for you. You will be charged for these items at the time of order. You
will be notified if the product is out of stock by a small note on your receipt.
If we do not have the majority of the items you have ordered, then we will
notify you by email. We will forward these on as soon as they are available at
no further charge.
If your order is accepted but contains an item or items no
longer available you will contacted by e-mail and refund for the item.
If any items ordered are out of stock and not going to be
available within the next 2 working days, then we will advise you of this by
e-mail. We will, wherever possible, provide an indication of the delivery
delay. If the order is split into an additional consignment, no extra charge
will be made.
Credit Card Security
Payments are handled securely using the PayPal gateway. The
BBS and BGS association does not store debit or credit card details.
Returns Policy
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your
purchase, you may return the goods to us, within 14 days, for a refund or
exchange as you wish. You will need to provide and pay for your own courier to
do this.
Please note that goods must be returned in new and unused condition, together
with all packaging and tags (where appropriate) attached.

You will only be refunded for the goods returned. No postage
will be refunded. Items returned that smell of food/smoke or are covered in pet
hair will be refused a refund.
Prices
You will be advised of any additional delivery cost before
the order is finalised.
The prices shown on the web pages are accurate to the best
of our knowledge at time of publication but the BBS and BGS association is
under no obligation to maintain the advertised price in the event of incorrect
prices being shown for whatever reason (e.g. our suppliers have changed their
price to us or human/computer error). The BBS and BGS association reserves the
right at any time to change a published price.
Descriptions
All items are described accurately to the best of our
knowledge, however occasional slight variations may occur. Items failing to
meet your expectations will be replaced or refunded. If you are unsure of your
requirements you should seek advice from someone familiar with the products
such as your Scout Master, prior to purchase.
Products listed and available to the general public from
this website are approved to the relevant British safety standards. No
undertaking is given as regards conformity to the requirements of other
legislatures.

Privacy Policy
The BBS and BGS association does not disclose buyers'
information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep
track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to
store delivery addresses if the address book is used, and to store your details
if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfil customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
